A honeymoon stay at Honua Lani Gardens is a delight for nature lovers. Our five acres of botanical gardens offer a great place to walk, take pictures, and enjoy the waterfall and ponds in the privacy of your very own garden retreat. You can sample coconuts straight from the trees while watching our endangered Hawaiian ducks race along the lily pads.
Our Garden path starts right at the Bamboo Hale and the Passion Fruit Suite, winding down the hill past our bamboo and cacao orchards, and onward towards the ponds and gardens in the valley below.
Enjoy a lomi-lomi massage in the massage hale.
Treat yourselves to a couples massage in our Massage Hale (house) located near the waterfall and between the ponds. Relax to the music of the frog and bird symphony while receiving this ancient Hawaiian healing modality. This massage is soothing and stress-releasing, while addressing all the aches and pains of daily life. It will leave you stress and pain free so you can enjoy your honeymoon vacation to its fullest!
Upon arrival, you’ll find a basket we’ve prepared full of fresh fruit from the gardens, coffee, and chocolate-covered Macadamia nuts. We invite you to wander through our vegetable garden to pick herbs to enhance your culinary choices. We have a Garden Cart at the top of the property where you’ll find our daily offerings from the gardens and orchards – we suggest you sample all the delicacies we grow that are in season.
The total privacy of the Cottage (you can’t even hear a car from its secluded location on our property) is a definite plus for your honeymoon experience. The Cottage’s proximity to Kapa’a town, beaches, dinning, festivals and shopping make it the perfect choice.

We chose to get married on the beautiful island of Kauai in March and this cottage was the perfect alternative to staying at a pricey hotel. The jungle setting with the trade winds and bird song drifting through the windows was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice, and Jai was the perfect hostess: available to answer all of our questions and give us helpful tips on what to see and do while leaving us to enjoy our honeymoon once they were answered. The cottage is exactly as pictured here and the location on the east side of the island was great for being not too far from whatever we wanted to do. If staying in Kapaa, JJ’s pizza is an absolute must have, as recommended by our hostess (best pizza we’ve ever had). Thanks again for your hospitality and for providing an awesome place to stay Jai. We can’t wait to return!
