Kauai’s ideal weather provides a garden environment that supports a huge variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers – many of which are unique to tropical locales. Our gardens provided fruit and vegetables year round with overlapping growing seasons. We always have something unique for our guests to photograph and enjoy sampling.
Fruit Trees
Our property has many trees that bear tropical fruits. These include: Breadfruit, Avocado, Citrus, Jackfruit, Bananas, Papayas, Egg Fruit, Lychee, Passion Fruit, and Logan, to name a few. We share in season fruit with our guests in their fruit basket.
Herbs
Our year round bountiful veggie garden is peppered with herb plants including rosemary, basil, thyme, garlic chives, cilantro and many more. Be our guest to pick and enjoy these herbs fresh from the garden while being creative in the kitchen.
Vegetables
In our Veggie garden we grow many varieties including long beans, salad greens, eggplant, swiss chard, kale, tomatoes, squash, watermelon and more. We harvest these regularly and place them in the garden cart for purchase.
Flowers
Our gardens are enhanced by the many stands of beautiful tropical flowers. These include: Tropic Fleur, red and yellow Carribia, red and pink Torch Ginger, Citacorums, Shell Ginger, Heliconias, Sexy Pinks, and Peach Costas, among others.
Black Sugar Cane and Coconuts
The lower gardens feature several different types of coconuts, including many growing on dwarf trees that makes them easy to harvest. These provide us with a delicious and refreshing source of water and meat when we work in the gardens.
The gardens also feature many stands of exotic black sugar cane, a tasty treat straight off the stalk!
